How we work

We offer a structured, practical approach to learning that develops our members' experience of musical theatre conventions and expectations. After two years of regular exercises and collaborations, our composers and lyricists present a showcase to an invited audience. After this, many enter the Advanced workshop, where the weekly session is formed around the needs of the group as they progress personal projects.

For librettists, the learning path is slightly different: this smaller group develops together, with both formal and informal opportunities to join our composers and lyricists on collaborative projects.

All of this is driven by our six learning principles, and underpinned by our four core values.
